I know this may sound like a silly question, but how did you get the eggshell you used for the tortoise to be so smooth at the edges and specifically be that shape? Did you sandpaper it?

I finally get what you mean by acrylic on resin, in that you put resin in containers to imitate water and paint animals swimming in them. That's marvelous! That would make them count as a kind of sculpture. These pieces you make must be pretty valuable, I imagine you can sell them pretty high because of how wonderful the illusion you created is. How do you get this one to look so 3 dimensional? Do you layer the paint and resin? Is the shine on the "water" around the shell painted or is it real shine on the resin?

I've seen a sped up version of this kind of thing. It is painted in layers. A layer of resin, a layer of paint. It's like one of these x-ray scans of your head. You get a picture of each layer and then when put all together it makes a 3D picture.
