Wait, is this whole picture a painting, or is just the goldfish a painting in the bowl with water in it? Either way, amazing job well done!

The goldfish and water are a painting in resin. He paints on a layer of resin, then pours more resin over it and paints another, then pours again etc, etc, until he gets this 3D, lifelike painting.

I'm lost, i like this, but i'm afraid i don't really know what's going on. Is the entire thing painted? Or is it just the inside of the bowl that is painted? Or what? Sorry if i sound like a bit of an primate, but i'd like someone to explain to me what mediums are being used here.

It's painted on resin, layer by layer :)

As I understand it, the process involves paint suspended in a resin that looks like water when it cures.

that's what i suspected, but i wasn't sure if it was layered to make it 3d, or just one layer in the resin, or what. 'tis an amazing effect tho.

I'm not 100% sure of the process, but the effect is totally amazing.

I think it takes a good day for each layer of resin to dry, added with the time for the acrylic to dry between that, awhile and longer depending on how many layers you do
