I just read a comment below that explains the technique. Wow, it has to be very time consuming and tedious, but definitely worth the effort. You had my eyes fooled!

Are you just putting dead animals in a bowl of resin? It looks great, but if its just paint I don't see the point or need to fill a bowl with resin and aloow it to harden. I think it's freshly expired animals you placed in resin. Nothing wrong with that, a little creepy and wasteful of life just for something to look at. If that's not how its made my apologies, I would be very interested in knowing how it's done.

in the description it says "acrylic paint". that means anything that isn't shiny (resin) was created with acrylic paint. there's no indication that dead animals are involved in this art.

I'm trying to find the paint strokes. I think I might see them in the plant leaves... But I'm just trying to convince myself it is not a photograph. How did you paint the table? The wood grain and dust particles are so realistic. The shrimp, light reflections in the water, even the little imperfections in the ceramic of the bowl is all beautifully done! Still trying to wrap my head around the beauty of the piece.

He actually just painted the shrimp. He added dimension by adding resin in between each layer of acrylic paint; the bowl and everything else is real :P

Omg, trying to comprehend that this is painted and not ACTUALLY a bowl of shrimp is like trying to comprehend that outer space is infinite. My brain just can't wrap around the idea!

Amazing!

Looks delicious (not)! Those red things, are they blood worms or just shrimp poop?

Still an awesome concept!
